I am looking for a script to use within Dell Kace that enables me to uninstall any versions of Mozilla firefox.  Does anyone have anything?

I found this on SpiceWorks. Test it out but looks like it should work

To sliently uninstall Firefox run the following commands (minus the bold characters)

taskkill.exe /f /im firefox.exe

Firefox (32-bit) IF EXIST "%ProgramFiles%\Mozilla Firefox\uninstall\helper.exe" "%ProgramFiles%\Mozilla Firefox\uninstall\helper.exe" -ms

Firefox (64-bit) - IF EXIST "%ProgramFiles(x86)%\Mozilla Firefox\uninstall\helper.exe" "%ProgramFiles(x86)%\Mozilla Firefox\uninstall\helper.exe" -ms

Firefox 3.x (32-bit) IF EXIST "%ProgramFiles%\Mozilla Firefox\uninstall\helper.exe" "%ProgramFiles%\Mozilla Firefox\uninstall\helper.exe" /s

Firefox 3.x (64-bit) IF EXIST "%ProgramFiles(x86)%\Mozilla Firefox\uninstall\helper.exe" "%ProgramFiles(x86)%\Mozilla Firefox\uninstall\helper.exe" /s

  • hi, i tried this. thanks, it helped a lot. But it is leaving behind some files and user related registries. Do i need to implement uninstall active setup? If so, can anyone please suggest the script in powershell? - Ishita Tripathi 8 years ago
