Upgrade issue

Hi
I have a package that I made of a excel addin that is used to complete web queries.
My development team have made subsequent changes to the source files following these changes I had to create a second release of this package which upgraded the package to the second release.
They have now made further changes to the source files. I am trying to follow the same process that I followed in the second release.
but I am unable to upgrade I keep getting a message stating that a previous version of the software is already installed .
I have setup a second major upgrade item.
The package installs correctly on a clean machine.
FYI: im using installshield and im still a beginner.
Any help will be much appreciated

Welcome to the forum and to packaging.
Have a read of the MSDN article about the ProductCode property http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/aa370854.aspx
You could do worse than search AppDeploy for 'ProductCode', 'UpgradeCode' and/or 'major upgrade'.
I would imagine that John McFadyen's blog would have something to say about upgrades, too. I would post a link but my current client blocks his host.
