Upgrading to Adobe Reader 8.1

Is it possible to update from Adobe Reader 8.0 to Adobe Reader 8.1 with a patch? My issue is that the current package we have disabled updates so users could not do updates themselves. I need to know if there is a way to push a patch without having to do a fresh install of Adobe Reader 8.1.

Isn't 8.1 supplied *as* a patch?
