VBScript for .msi

Does anyone out there know of a good tutorial for learning VBScript for .msi? Most of the vbscripting I have done is to automate routine tasks (AD, WMI) but I would like to find a good guide to learn how to perform certain tasks while repackaging and when/where it would be benificial to do this. Thanks.

if you know wmi you wont' have any problem. the windows installer sdk has some good examples.
a common use is to pass property names to vbscript variables, and vice versa, using vbscript/wmi to find or manipulate data in the environment and passing it to the MSI for action.
Rating comments in this legacy AppDeploy message board thread won't reorder them,
so that the conversation will remain readable.
