Virtual Box
I was reading something and the user said they spun up a virtual box of Kace.
Does anyone know how to create a virtual Kace environment?
I would like to spin one up and use it to test Kace 8.0 before upgrading.

You simply download the virtual appliance for VMWARE or Hyper-V.
Then you set it up but keep in mind that you need an additional license for a 2nd box!
(if you have two appliances with the same license key you will violate the license contract which may lead to disabling of some features which need external infrastructure like patching or similar)
You can setup the appliance virtually with any virtualization environment which supports the OVA, but only VMWARE (workstation and ESXi (from 6.5 but it works from 5.5 without problems, but the underlaying OS is officially only supported in 6.5 from vmware)) and Hyper-V (W2k12 and newer) are supported and others may run into strange issues.
If FreeBSD11 is supported from the hypervisor it should work relatively flawless but KACE will not support 3rd party hypervisors which are not officially supported.
