Visio Standard isnt being installed ( its prem :( )
So sequence it up.
useing KMS.
In the help menu it says its "Microsoft Visio Premium 2010" - not the standard that im trying for!!!!
have changed the config.xml file to have the Visio Standard key - didnt work
used OCT to add the Standard key ( not for KMS that really a ) - didnt work
At what point during sequencing Visio Standard do you make the change in order for it to say its Visio Standard in the help/about screen?

do you have a kms server? if so you will need to use VAMT to activate your licence. There is only the installation media for Visio 2010 Premium available.
So in essence;
Sequence the Visio Premium package.
Advertise / deploy the package to your client
Run VAMT (http://www.microsoft.com/download/en/details.aspx?displaylang=en&id=12860)
Add you licence key and push this to the client
On the next launch of Visio the version seen in help - about will be Standard.
See this blog post for more detailled info

Crikey...havent heard of this one before.
So this is just for Visio im guessing? ( as i didnt have to do this with the project ones )...
Ill give it a crack and report back after testing.
Have to sequence up Visio Prem/Pro/Std and push them all to the same machine ( different users )..so hopefully this will work.
Thanks for that, and shall report back soon.

Your correct about struggling!
Ive got Project pro/std working fine on the 1 machine.
Just have to sort the Visio now.
But yeah i dont think VAMT will be my solution as its machine based rather than user orientated.
Might have to script in some startup logic that runs the change key on login for a particular user...
Will report back anywho :)
