What is the character limitation in the Comment field?

What is the character limitation in the Comment field when creating a new work request?  Using a KACE 1100 appliance.

it is from type text, so 65,535.

Just install MySQL Workbench and connect to your box, (password is box747 by default, for Org1 the user is R1, can be changed, be shure that remote database access is enabled) and check by yourself the info you need. It is more effective and much faster ;)

I had never tested the limit of this, but it's good to know that you can type as much as you like.

  • not really, it is only type text, if you have a more complex ticket, you can run into space issues ;)
    But with LONGTEXT too (then at 4,294,967,295) But this would mean, that _EVERY_ ticket would blow up the database by 4GB instead of 64kB - Nico_K 11 years ago
