Why doesn’t the computer count change when I add new software to K1000
I am on my way to upload all of our software to the Kace K1000 box. When I go under Inventory and the Software tab and add new software to the list, the computer count to the right of the software name in the software list doesn’t update, it still says 0.
I have stated the right Display Name, Vendor and Version information as it says under add/remove program. As I have understood the inventory uses these parameters to find a match and count up the inventory count.
I got it to work for the Google Chrome software but Mozilla Firefox and QuickTime won’t change the count. I have not created a Distribution yet for the software, but as I understand that should not be necessary and it works for Chrome and that is setup in the same way as the other software.
So my question is what have I missed here to get the computer count to work?

What I did wrong was that I manually created the software information like vendor and version instead of clicking on the inventory result and link in the install file. So this is the best practice to get all the information right about the package.
Sounds like you created your own software title when you said you stated the right display name, vendor and version. When you create your own software title it will always say 0 because that isn't something the agent discovered. Do a search for the software title you pushed out and I be you find it without the attachment you added and a number count.
Thanks for all the answers.
I managed to solve the problem by remove the software from the software list and after that I did an inventory on the computer and clicked on the software in the inventory list and linked in the install file for the software and after that the inventory count started to work.
