Why Workstations show Online and active on SCCM 2012 but Non-Compliant when we push Application updates?

Hi Guys,

We have a large environment (more or less 50 K Workstations) and when We can ping successfully but some of the Systems are showing Online and Active on SCCM 2012 but they are not getting the Application updates (Adobe Flash Player and Adobe Reader DC) we want to dig deep on these NON Compliant Machines and figure out:

1. Why the ones that are online aren’t compliant?

2. How we need to remediate them?

What will be the reason when an online and active PC (Which ping successfully) can not download and update?

Any suggestions please

Of course, your installation package will be logging its results so that would be the first place to check.

Also check to see if the 'Deployment Type' for the app has any 'Requirement' set, which these machines don't have. Again, the SCCM client logs will contain (much!!) detail about the deployment.

  • 1. By any chance, can we get the error details before we remote into the Client PC e.g. through Query or Reporting?
    2. Can anyone help me to create that query? - das1973 7 years ago
