Windows Desktop search Toolbar disable

Hi everybody,

How to disable the toolbar of Windows Desktop serach 4.0? Do any one have knowledge about it.I tried to search on net a hell lot of article of it on microsoft web page but i did'nt get any.Please share any knowledge related to it.

do a capture when you manually set the items you want. this should identify the items which are required to be added to your app.

i would try something a little more lightweight than wise or IS. such as "advanced registry tracer" or similar tool.

Hi jmcfadyen,

I have downloaded the tool which you have mention above and have used that but still unable to find the registry which are effected.In case you have found out something then please do let me know.Still bugging up with that issue.

Well then perhaps the information isn't stored in the Registry, but in a file.

Use either a file/registry/process monitor to watch what changes in real-time or, as John suggested, capture the changes as you make them. His suggestion was to use something lightweight to avoid the overhead of your normal capturing tool but, if push comes to shove, use that tool and just pick out the relevant changes to add to your package.
