Windows installer comes up every time
Hello folks!
Got the following problem: We have Microsoft Office Access XP and the Microsoft Office 2003 Suite installed on the same machine (a Terminalserver). I know that this is a bad situation in the first place, but the customer needs it and there's no other way round it. Well every time I open Access 2003 and then Access XP Windows Installer pops up does some stuff (obviously a repair but I'm not quite sure) and also vice versa. When I consult the eventlog to see what happend, it just tells me that "Configuration of Product ... completed successfully!". No additional messages like "Detection of product ... failed because component ... missing!". I also tried to enable loggin via the policy (with voicewarmup), which of course produces a tremendously long logfile, that I can get no clue out of. But will the log actually help me, because what I want to know is: What triggered the repair in the first place and not if the repair was successfull (which is the case).
Thx for any help given.

Hi vmwarejunkie,
I would isolate these applications by running them on different TS servers. I don't think it is all possible to have them co-exist on the same server. Another solution would be to use SoftGrid running these in virtual layers.
If you want us to have a look at the logs, just compress and add a link to them.
