windows screensaver .scr
Hello guys,
I am new here bit i need some serious help ):
I want to send a new corporate screensaver to 70 users, running windows 2000 and XP.
We don't have AD... so no group policy is available and they don't have admin right.
I am using RSI (remote software installatioin) and it is working great but i can't do this simple task.
I belive you have to modifie something in the registry to activate it but i don't know the step to do it all.
If someone could hlep me it would be much appreciated.

i believe you need to have a SCR and reg file. You can perhaps try this manually first? Copy the screen saver file to System32 Folder and add the registry. Then see if its working?
After which you can create an MSI package which install those 2 files and include a Active Setup registry to that it copies the HKCU reg to each user that logs in.
Info on Active Setup is here:-

Hope this helps
