WinInstall to MSI

How can I convert existing WinInstall Packages to MSI's?

I am having a hard time finding something that will work.

What version of Wininstall are you using?

Depending on the version you should be able to just right click the Package in the console and chose generate MSI.

FYI, we did that with about 400 NAIs and of the 400 only 100 worked well (which meant 300 frigging rebuilds that made us cry and work weekends). It's almost easier to take a snapshot of the NAI [:@]

I have not seen any conversion tools that do a good job of porting a legacy installer to MSI. There are tools that will make MSIs but I have to see one that does as good of a job as properly repackaging the installer. The issue I think is most conversion utilities have a bare minimum set of logic to perform the conversion.
