WinZip 14.5 pro Self Heal problem
Hi,
I am working on Winzip 14.5 pro, Application is working fine when I repair it from ARP but does not work when I was trying to Self Heal the application.
In above case I have renamed the folder C:\Program Files\WinZip and I am trying to launch the application from its shortcut, it giving me the following message prompt,
Unable to install over the MSI version of the installtion. Please obtain the version or uninstall WinZip first.
This is venor msi.
Please help me to solve above issue.
Thanks,
Rupesh.

What do you mean when you say you were trying to self-heal? Self-healing is exactly that - the application self-heals by replacing missing files and/or registry data. It's not under your control.
If you mean you triggered a repair by some means other than via ARP e.g. from the command line, how were you doing that?

Sorry...my bad. I should have read your post properly. You're triggering a repair by renaming the folder. Got it...
My guess would be that the SourceList entry in the registry is screwed. ProcMon will help you determine that. Or it may be that the cached MSI in %SystemRoot%\Installer isn't the correct one.
