You could have opened a separate thread to discuss this.
As the name 'Gap Capture' (you may call it a technique) suggests, it is the Gap between source app and the captured package. Basically, the missing things in captured data.
Its useful in situations when your captured msi is ready but its not exactly functional as the source.
How to do it using Wise (Or any other repackaging tool or InstallRite, InstallWatch etc...)-
1. Install Captured MSI and take a snapshot.
2. Install Source app on it and take the 2nd snapsot.
3. The difference between these 2 snapshots is your Gap Capture data.
You can then review this Gap Capture to list out the missing data. Add that to your captured msi and verify if its fully functional.
