Wise Package Studio 8 on Windows 7
Longtime listener, first time caller.
I'm having a bit of trouble creating my first MSI with Wise Package Studio 8. I have the software installed onto my windows 7 machine and am trying to do a setup capture. Unfortunately, it runs through the setup and throws up a windows security mesage. "Your Internet security settings prevented one or more files from being opened." The file it lists is C:\Windows\system32\MSIEXEC.exe. I've been told that WPS will do everything I've ever wanted to accomplish, but for the life of me I can't seem to get it off the ground. Do any of you more seasoned WPS veterns have any suggestions for my immediate problem?
UAC is disabled on this machine and I am logged on with domain admin rights.

Your packaging box should be clean (i.e. OS and service packs / security patches only) - you don't have any additional AV / firewall software installed do you?
If not, check your IE security settings are set to the lowest level.
Haven't (unfortunately) done any packaging on W7 yet so can't speak from experience I'm afraid.
Cheers,
Rob.
EDIT: If that doesn't work - try this:
1. Go to start and type regedit.
2. Select regedit from the programs list.
3. Locate the key HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\FolderTypes\{EF87B4CB-F2CE-4785-8658-4CA6C63E38C6}\TopViews\{00000000-0000-0000-0000-000000000000}
4. If the key exists try deleting (or renaming) it.
5. Close the registry editor.
