working directory of shortcut issue
i have shortcuts that have working directories on network shares, i use a wise script to get the values from an ini file (all client standards) and then place them in public properties, i have the public properties set as the working directories of the shortcuts in the shortcut table, when i install, the wrk dirs are blank?? is this a bug in wise, the values are read correctly and set correct in the log file so i am stumped,
any help would be greatful?

When is your "Wisescript" action that reads your inifile scheduled?
Are you including square brackets ("[]") in the "WkDir" column of your "Shortcut" table? You don't need any.
Try using another public property for testing purposes, and specify a value on the command line. If that works, then try to populate it using your custom action.

To populate the Working Dirctory field in a shortcut, this is one way of doing it.
1. Open the Setup Editor
2. Right click on Properties | New | Property
3. Name the Propery what ever you want WORKINGDIRCTORY for the value insert the location i.e T:\network\network1
4. Then go to the Tables tab
5. Locate the Shortcut Tables
6. Inside the Shortcut Tables locate the WkDir Colum, inside the colum type in the name of the property you created.
WORKINGDIRECTORY with no [ ]
That should work for you. Good Luck!!
