Yammer Upgrade Issue

I am a newbie to this post. I am having Yammer.air v271957 application.Requirement is the previous versions of Yammer needs to be upgraded to the latest.
I am installing yammer.air along with ADOBE AIR using silent switches.
But Yammer does not upgrade the previous version, throwing the popup "The application could not be installed because an application with that name already exists at the selected installation location. Try installing to a different location."
Because I am installing both AIR and Yammer together, when Yammer fails to upgrade installation of AIR also fails, as both are being installed simultaneously.
Any help will be appreciated.

Is Yammer a totally new application or it is an upgrade for the previous one?
As per u r post i understand the it is totally new application. So probably u need to uninstall the previous version and install the new one.

It is a new application, and I am not sure of the previous versions of YAMMER.AIR allready in the client machines, to uninstall using product code.
I am looking for uninstalling the previous versions no matter what the version is.
Wondering if YAMMER.AIR supports this method, at all, without changing the default install directory location, as shown in the above POPUP.

I am not sure if this can be done, as i have no knowledge on this app.
But i think uninstalling the previous versions will be the better option.
May be you can get some inputs from other guys in this forum.
