In the same line of thought as Davi, to disable update delete the file c:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Captivate\AdobeUpdater.dll.

To suppress registration on start delete "adobe_registration.dll" in Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Captivate 3.

We use Marimba for distribution around here. Because I didnÂ’t want to download 500 Megs to each workstation that was using Captivate using the Administrative files for the distribution. Our packaging tool is Wise Studio. Something odd is going on with the Wise transform process. Doing a transform seems to fail with out making any changes. Investigating the source of the failure was Install Shield scripting. There is a extra table in the MSI called ISSetupFile, which I suppose is the new way to install the scripting engine. Anyway seemed that a transform created with Wise would fail trying to install one of the dlls in that table. I ended up creating a small MSI with the two registration info files and installed it after the main install.
