Often administrators will install an application to a server share and repackage only the differences applied to the workstation for deployment. Don't try this with FreeHand...
"FreeHand is not designed to be installed and run as a multi user application, however, it can be installed to run for a single user but there will be performance issues. The network installation will considerably affect FreeHand's performance and therefore not recommended."
"When FreeHand Windows is installed to the network server other problems may occur. FreeHand will shut down if both machines try to access the program at the same time. Additionally, both workstations will be sharing external files that FreeHand uses. Preferences, Xtras, Cache files, UserPreps and other configuration files will be accessed by the workstations and altered in FreeHand causing much confusion on workstations."
