Note
Some of my win2k SP2 machines would not install SP3 - unattended ones would just exit early on and manual ones would produce the error "An error in updating your system has occurred".

This was caused by an old version of Windows Installer - downloaded and installed 2.0 (can be done silently also), reboot and SP3 worked fine.
