This application can be packaged as a Vendor MSI.
What you have to do is before you press the Finish button to end the installation process is to go to %TEMP% folder.
There two folders are created, one of them has the application sources along with the MSI setup.

If you want to make several modifications you can do that by using Orca or Instedit(both work fine).
An important modification is to add in directory table the installation directory or you can delpoy it using a command line.
If you skip this the application will install all its files in ROOTDRIVE.

If you want to suppress the EULA message you have to add to the package a file called "eulaAccepted". This file can be found in "%APPDATA%\Adobe\AIR" folder.

Note
Repackage Adobe AIR if you haven't done so already.

On the packaging machine:
- Install your AIR package as requirement.
- Start first snapshot.
- Go to tweetdeck.com and install TweetDeck Desktop
- Comparison snapshot.

Works fine.


There's one thing to keep in mind with TweetDeck though:

Updates are released quite often and now and then they make an announcement that certain versions will even stop working. And on top of that, it appears like updating of the apps itself isn't handled by the client, but on the TweetDeck server it is connecting to, so you can't really turn this off. (Or at least I haven't found a way yet. Imho this app doesn't belong in a corporate environment)

It doesn't have to be a problem though, as this AIR application seems to consist of files only. Give modify permissions to INSTALLDIR and the app should be able to update under the user's credentials.

Keep in mind this will need some testing, as it's just a theory and I didn't get to test this (as I only have the latest version)...

Note

I had to use a modified version of the above directions to get an MSI. With Version .38 there is no "Finish" button. It just blows through the install. If you are in the %TEMP% directory you will see the folders blink there and blink gone. What you need to do is download CPUkiller, go to your %TEMP% directory and delete everything or memorize the names of the existing directories so when the new ones appear you will know what they are because there will not be much time to think. I ran CPUkiller at 98% started the install of Tweetdeck and quickly selected the directories when they appeared and CTRL+C then when the installer said "Installing" and CTRL+V to a new directory. Don't forget, not only is the install program slowed, your movements and copies will also be slowed as well.

Command Line
to make an unattended install, first install Adobe air and after that you can use the following command line to install Tweetdeck:
"C:\program files\common files\adobe air\versions\1.0\Adobe AIR Application Installer.exe" -silent -eulaAccepted -desktopShortcut TweetDeck.air

To update the your version of tweetdeck, first uninstall the old version. You can do this by finding the uninstall string in the registry and than changing it to make it unattended. The uninstall string says msiexec /i, change this to msiexec /x and end with the /q value, to make it unattended. For example C:\Windows\System32\msiexec.exe /x{EAEFE1C0-EB56-8963-9EC5-A0EB5FBA358D} /q for version 0.37.5
