64Bit Agent for ARM64
Hi all,
I am tasked to manage a fleet of Kiosk-systems (right now 10 but they will grow to over 1400 as soon the new rooms can be booked).
We decided to use a fleet of Raspberry Pi 4 for doing that. It will be a "swarm" of WLAN-AP together with the KIOSK and a basic surfstation.
Setup and config went very well but when we decide to install the agent we were not happy:
[06/26/22 08:33:19 AM] Begin provisioning...
[06/26/22 08:33:19 AM] Executing macOS/Linux platform provisioning.
STEP 1: CONNECT TCP/SSH - SUCCESSFUL
STEP 2: AUTHENTICATION - SUCCESSFUL
[06/26/22 08:33:22 AM] Target is -aarch64.
[06/26/22 08:33:22 AM] KACE SMA agent NOT detected via SSH query.
[06/26/22 08:33:22 AM] Unable to set the path and filename of the Agent.
[06/26/22 08:33:22 AM] End provisioning run.
If I read this correctly, there is no ARM64 agent (a 32Bit can be found).
Using the SMA 12.1 and the 12.1 agent bundle (as far as I see the latest)
Are there plans to provide ARM64 agents (also the general agent is not applicable, since x86)
If KACE is unwilling to do so, is there an alternate to update the systems on a regular basis (like someone has a script)

right now no arm64 agent avaiable. And due to the lack of real requests it is unlikely unfortunately right now.
You can inventory your devices using agentless inventory.
And you can setup a script like https://www.itninja.com/blog/view/setting-up-patching-for-ubuntu (modify it a bit for your needs and run it via crontab) to update.
Add additional stuff to it.
Btw: I have a kiosk system for myself too which also provides some docks (for instance uptime kuma)
You just need to prepare the install before to have all handy so it can be used well.
