Application Control with K1000 - Best practices for adding every new device to the control label?

Hi everyone (and sorry for my bad english)
we're starting with the application control via KACE 1000 and we want to build a simple test blacklist for banned applications in our environment.

My question is: how i can automatically apply the ApplicationControlDevice label to every already existent and every new device in inventory?

  • I would make it a very simple Smart Label which has the ability to target every computer.

    All of our computer names start with D1, so I made that the criteria for ours.

    Another options would be having it target all computers where the OS name contains "Windows". - ondrar 6 years ago

Every device will always have an ID, so I would use "Device ID" with "IS NOT NULL"
