Assigning Printers using Logon Scripts
Hi all,
We've been using a logon script to map network printers to users in a Windows 2000 environment and we are currently in the process of migrating to Windows XP. The VB script used maps the printers that are added to the user profile and under Windows XP some of the these printers are mapped correctly and the newer models (HP 4700 for example) do not map correctly for the users. After further investigating the problem I have found that if the user has administrative privileges these printers are mapped without any problems. I am thinking this could be related to permission restrictions set on the users C: drive, I'm stumped with this dilemma and would appreciate anyone out there who can throw me a line in the right direction if they've faced the same problem.
Thanks
