Auto Assign a user to an asset(with sql)

I asked this before, but found out that if the users kace login is not their SAM we can't use the auto assign feature in settings.

We are now back to trying to do this through a custom rule.

I am at a total loss on the mapping between the User and the Asset tables

All of our computers are only logged in by 1 user and it shows the user logged in as "firstname.lastname"

You still need to match the user logged in with their entry in the users table. Is there a field in the users table that contains firstname.lastname? - chucksteel 6 years ago
- Custom1 on the ldap import is their SAM which is first.last - khoelle 6 years ago
