- Turn Off anti-Virus and services
- Stop Services like Windows Defender, Windows Search, SMS Services
- Check the system tray to close any apps running in the background
- Move Page file to non system drive
- Turn off auto updates
- Check out the Video before for a Windows XP Clean machine still relevent to Windows 7
