Blue Screen with New Dell Optiplex 380 and 960

When we boot in to the Kbox 2000 with our new Dell Systems Optiplex 380 and Optiplex 960 it will blue screen on us. I will get through loading the KPE Boot screen and before it gets to the Screen that goes into the Select Imagine or Scripted install it will blue screen.

Blue Screen error 0x000000BB.

Any suggestions.

Yes, change SATA in BIOS to "legacy". By default it uses RAID, which doesn't take well to any sort of imaging technology. Also if you still have issues, try turning Execute Disable off in BIOS. Should be under the headline CPUXD or something like that.

Let me know if that helps

The current Bios version on the 380 doesn't seem to support or I couldn't find the option to change the SATA State like in other models. I have done the steps in the past to other computers with success but this time it just didn't work and of course i was unable to find the Legacy portion. I did change the CPUXD and it didn't work. What would the legacy be under now?

However, I did work with Kace Support on the issue and we boiled it down to a RIS based driver issue. We were unsuccessful pxe booting the machine, so we updated to version 3.2.

Downloaded the Media Manager from the Library module.
Downloaded WAIK for Windows 7 and mounted the .iso with virtual Clone Drive then installed WAIK for Windows 7.
Added the Windows 7 driver for the NIC to the new Directory kbox_winpe3_x86 in the drivers share then recached that directory on the K2000.
-Even though you are imaging something other than Windows 7 the new boot environment uses KBE instead of PxE.
Then on the new Kbox Media Manager we had to actaully create the Kbox Boot Environment.
After that we were able to get it working and booted in fine with the new KBE boot environment.
*These steps must be done with a Vista or Windows 7 box.*

Thanks Kace for the support.
