Can I use the scripted installation packages of the K2000 to deploy software on our K1000 ?
Hi,
For our K2000 i have created some scripted installations.
Some of them are quite complicated and some of them are more simple.
I have packed these scripts, together with the corresponding software to zip files.
The packages always contain a .bat file, that kicks off a series of checks and installations.
Can i use these packages on our k1000 to deploy the software to pc/laptops that need the software ?
I have already tried to deploy a package, but i cannot see if something is happening when i start a pc.
I used the option: "Configure Manually" at "Installation Command"
The Run Parameter is set to: "install_application.bat"
Thanks,
Mesjoggah

Answer Summary:
It's working now. My problem were the way my packages were zipped. I used the build-in MS tool for that, but found an article (http://www.indigomountain.co.uk/blog/firefox-11-install/) in which the writer mentioned the following: "Do not use the in built windows zip, use a third party like 7zip or Winrar as this has been known to cause issues when decompressing on the Kace boxes" After rezipping the package with 7zip, things are going well.
