Can Related Assets be based off a user
Is there a way to setup the Related Assets to be based off a user and not computer name. I have it setup on a computer now, but what happens if that pc name go aways and the user still employeed with the assets listed with them.

If I understand your question, the answer is Yes. You can add a custom field to any Asset Type, and choose User in the Field Type. This will present you with a list of users to "relate" the asset to. This list of users is from Settings > Users (5.5+), or Service Desk > Users (5.4 and earlier).
