Can the header rows be customized for an imported asset?

When importing a .CSV as an asset list I do not want/need the default header titles  "Location, Asset Status & Asset Unique ID".  Is there a way to hide, remove or rename these fields?

Thanks

Are you asking a way to exclude these fields in the import from a csv file?

Those header rows are not part of the .csv file that I uploaded, they are pre-defined in the 3rd step of the "Import Asset" process.  I have a list of mobile devices with the following headers "Device Number, Device Name, Last, First, Supervisor, Team, Channel, Notes".   In step 3 (Mapping) there are 5 pre-defined fields, "Asset Name, Location, Login, Domain, & Email" I don't need any of those fields and would prefer to remove or rename them, however, I can make due.  The real problem is that after the file has been successfully uploaded the only fields that display on the "Assets" The only usable (to me) column that can be displayed is "Name", none of my fields even appear in the show/hide column menu.   The devices are not going to have the KACE client installed on them, it is just a way for me to keep all of my device/asset inventory in a single location.   Any help would be appreciated, Thanks!

have you ticked the box on the opening import asset screen "file header row" that should then identify that you have headers, it will read those column headers to set up the import but will not import them as data

Sorry,

I get what you mean now, this question and many others are arising over the current Asset setup by KACE!!! Mr G are you watching?

No there is no way of hiding those headings KACE has made the (Questionable) decision that every asset type needs that data, so we are unable to remove them....
