Controlling Portions of Start Menu with GPO

Good Morning,

Is there a way to control what displays on the start menu via gpo or registry?  If you look on the left side of the start menu you have File Explorer, Settings, etc. (shown in photo) I know there are many other items through personalization.  Any help appreciated.VxgeHN.png

Someone posted this on ITninja *not VbsCab though, lol, already been down that road :D wonder who posted it orgibnally? //shrugs.

Read past the gubbins there some helpful info, buts there not much in the way of GPO stuff at the moment, better than it was before, hopefully better in the next build release.

  • Hi Rileyz, think it was me :-)
There are links in the right hand side of the page that also cover Start-Menu in Win10, but do not be surprised, as it's not with GPO, but more with XML files... - Pressanykey 8 years ago
    • Ah, it was you (:
Super handy post, hope they release more GPO settings soon, there's not much out there atm, probably doesn't help they are trying to move away tin GPO though. - rileyz 8 years ago
