Converting from Appliance to VM. VDI size?
It appears there are 2 flavors of VM. 1TB and 3TB.
We don't need anything that large. We're currently using an original K1000 appliance with a 213GB hard drive and it's only 60% full.
The question is.... Do we HAVE to provision 1TB of space for the 1TB install or will it install fine with a smaller partition?

You could go ahead and select Thin Provision>
But as per the official documentation, the new minimum for Small Installs, is 1TB
