Deploy Windows 7 x64 on a latitude E6420
Hi,
i have some trouble to install Windows 7 Entreprise x64 on a Dell Latitude E6420.
The KBE start normally (after adding drivers, and creating a new one), i select the scripted installation for x64, and then black screen, and the laptop restart.
I don't have any trouble to deploy a x86.
If i do an Hardware Inventory, there aren't any drivers missing for the network or storage.
In the both scripted installation, i do the fallowing step:
1) Format of drive C:\
2) Deployment of OS
3) Join domain
4) Install K1000 Agent
Is anyone having the same trouble?
Best Regard's
Gael

Had this previously, or does this script currently work for other models, or is it a new script/media?
Did you upload the media as an ISO file, or did you mount the ISO and upload the contents?
This sounds like OS media isn't operational, usually related to uploading the ISO file rather then the actual contents. Mount it as a drive and upload. There's several mounting tools suchs a Daemon Tools and Virtual Clone Drive among others.

When i launch the deployment, i see the script witch format the disk, and then the black screen and the laptop reboot.
After the reboot, the laptop continue booting to the Local Disk.
The disk is visible in DiskPart, and is shown as Online.
The source media is from MSDN, an French Windows 7 Enterprise X64. I try to download once again the media, but it still the same.
I will try with a no-SP1 media.
