Deployed MSI, How do i go about updating future versions?
Hi
A tad new to the scene on software deployment with MSI's and im seeking advice on deployment and updating techniques.
I have recently deployed report writing software out to a few test machines and so far everything is fine.
The problem im seeking advice on, is the report writing company release a new build version just about every two weeks.
So whats the best way for me to deploy these new versions using the k1000 and keeping machines upto date? i have already created a Managed Install to deploy an earlier version on my test machines and im trying to find the best process of keeping them upto date.
I really appreciate your time.

If these are full version upgrades or even partial, you can use either the software distribution or the scripting engine (MSI Wizard) to do your installations. If the new versions don't require removing the old version you can simply install over it buy creating a software distribution. Probably the easiest route.
as with scripting you could potentially check which version is running and install the new if an older one is discovered but I would probably use software distro myself. it would be creating one 2 weeks.
another thing you could do is if the msi file name is the same all the time, you could write a batch file and have the KBOX run it every 2 weeks and upgrade that way.
