Devices stuck on 'Reboot pending' after patching.

Sorry for the shocking screenshot... This is just one of MANY devices that are stuck in status 'reboot pending'

As the title suggests, we've got machines that are stuck showing 'Reboot pending' after patching clients machines.

What I can tell you about the setup.

1. The device is set to 'not reboot'
2. The Patch we pushed out is the latest update for Windows 7.
3. We installed the KACE agent 5.3xxxx which updated to 6.0xxxx
4. We've rebooted the machines so many times but still no change.

We tried, creating a new patching schedule. Still showing 'reboot pending'

I'm a KACE novice, and still learning how to use this tool. So any advice would be great.

Is there anything else you would need to help diagnose the cause of this issue.

Cheers

  • Resurrecting an old thread looking for some help on this,
    I am showing
    reboot pending Patched: 252, Not Patched: 1, Detect Failures: 0 , Deploy Failures: 0 06/14/2017 08:38:03

Patch Tasks under Patch Schedule Detail will bounce from "reboot pending" to “Verifying “,"uploading logs", “ Deploying “ than the cycle starts all over again - DangTaxation 7 years ago
  • MS 2459268 Hotfix for Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008 R2 (All Languages) (See Notes)
Ended up being our turd patch, set it to inactve, and hopefully it stops this cycle of purgatory. - DangTaxation 7 years ago
