Discovery Schedules run every day

I have re-enabled some Discovery Schedules and want to run them automatically every day. It´s a simple discovery using the custom Discovery Type. It checks for

  • DNS Lookup with a timeout of 3 seconds
  • Ping
  • SNMP with a timeout of 3 seconds and 3 max. attempts
I´d like to run that every day at 03:00am. But it doesn´t run automatically. I´ve also setup a notify address to check this, but nothing happens.

A manual run works fine, discovers all devices and notify just in time.

When is your daily backup scheduled to run? The appliance may still be backing up at 3:00am which would stop the discovery schedule from executing.

  • daily backup is scheduled to 01:00am, but we´ve several discovery schedules during the day, but all 03:00am or later the day. - aragorn.2003 9 years ago
