Double \ script not working.

Whe notice that when we try to deploy with a script, the path is not correct.

C:\ProgramData\Dell\KACE\\kbots_cache\packages\kbots\50\hp2055.exe

Any one solved this problem?

Is that an explicit "run program" path entered, or are you using a variable?

I'm having this issue as well.

Here's the step I'm trying to run: Launch “$(KACE_DEPENDENCY_DIR)\jt.exe” with params “/sd ..."

And this is what shows up in the output log: Error creating process: C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Dell\KACE\\kbots_cache\packages\kbots\188\jt.exe /sd ...

I discovered that the problem was not the double slashes present, but that I had the first command in the remediation section of my task set to Wait for Startup. Once I unchecked that checkbox, everything works fine.

I have been getting "Error creating process" errors in the log about installing Office 2010 yet the program installs fine. I also had the "Wait for startup" selected now have unchecked that to see if the error goes away.

Output Log:
Error creating process: \\sam\KBOX\Office_2010_Pro_Plus\setup.exe

Activity log:
Launching program: '\\sam\KBOX\Office_2010_Pro_Plus\setup.exe'

Result: Program was silently installed fine. The Asset History doesn't show Office 2007 being removed (different issue) but does show Office 2010 being found.

I can confirm removing the checkbox "Wait for startup" cleared the erroneous error message "error creating process."

Have you tried running it via a batch file action with wait for startup on?

I haven't tried that yet Gerald.

Every time I force an inventory from the command line with "runkbot 4 0" I get an error message at the beginning but it proceeds past the error. It also has a double backslash in the path which may be why there is an error:

kbot[4:1287165600] @ 2011-10-24T15:48:05 (activity) Launching program:
'C:\Program Files\Dell\KACE\\KDeploy' '-custominventory' wait='true'
KLaunch Error: CreateProcess Failed: (2) The system cannot find the file specified.

KLaunch Local command failed: (2) The system cannot find the file specified.
