Eradicating IE9 HELP
Desperately seeking accurate method to inventory IE9 and perform silent uninstall. I beleive that it may be inventoried as "Update for Microsoft Windows (982861)" but I need some concurrence this is the correct update to inventory (IE9 does not inventory as an application)
I have tried the uninstall script using KBOX script with bat file created from silent uninstall command line from the blogs;
FORFILES /P %WINDIR%\servicing\Packages /M Microsoft-Windows-InternetExplorer-*9.*.mum /c “cmd /c echo Uninstalling package @fname && start /w pkgmgr /up:@fname†however this was not successful in test. It just doesn't do anything.
Thanks for sharing your successes with eradicating this abomination.
