Error message when I ping the device in Inventary

When I trying to ping devices in quick actions, displays the following message: Device actions can only be requested from Windows computers that have a connected agent.

What I do?

as the message says:
login into the UI from an agent managed device for this appliance/org.
The quick actions are communicated to the local agent and running locally.

    This is the problem. The device that I'm trying to do the action is already with the agent installed. - Fernanda Sampaio de Almeida Brito 4 years ago
    • if the device has the agent installed, is updating its inventory to the SMA and the error message comes up, open a SR with KACE support for further analysis - Nico_K 4 years ago

Or to put it another way, install the KACE agent on the device from which you are running the quick action and it should then work.
