Expanding datastore partition

We have a Virtual Kbox 2000 and are looking to expand our /dev/da0s1h partition mounted on /kbox/datastore/internal. As part of our Windows 7 migration, user states occasionally fill up a large portion of our remaining space and I am getting worried we may tap it out soon. I can't find anything in the KB or documentation about expanding that partition, does KACE have a best practice or any tools available? I didn't see anything in the netdiag/konfig screens so I'm assuming this will require a support call for root access. Anybody have experience going down this path? We will probably do the same with our K1000 shortly.

To my knowledge, this cannot be done - even with a call in to support. Good luck! And please let us know if support IS able to do this.

According to the KACE rep we purchased from it is possible, but we know the promises salesmen make. I hope it is possible, as this was a large reason we purchased the virtual version.

rjtech,

You might want to look into hard-link migration.

From a high level your leaving the user states on the box so nothing is transferred up to the KBOX.

This can not be done **AT THIS TIME**
It is on the roadmap for the K2000.

Just to make sure I'm understanding the answers to this question, even if I edit the OVF to create a larger datastore on install, there is no way to increase the size of the virtual appliance partition beyond the base 250GB?

Correct. Even if you make the virtual disk larger, you cannot increase the size of the partition(s) for the VK2000.
