Extremly slow when logging into interface using LDAP

I'm new to the k1000.  I set it up to use LDAP for my users to log into the UI page.  When my users log in it takes 2 minutes to log in.  I moved away from Spiceworks as a Help Desk ticketing system.  On that free program my users log in to the Help Desk page and it brings up the page within seconds.  Support told me that it depends on the order you have your DC setup in.  It don't matter in Spiceworks if I point to my LDAP server to the last in the list that's at my DR site or the first.  This is almost a deal breaker for me with it being this slow.  Anyone else have had a similiar issue or know of any tweaks?  Thanks.

9 times out of ten it is one of the default ldap servers having not been removed.

It could also be a bad LDAP IP or host in an LDAP label which is less obvious but can cause the same issue.
