find unique software installations?

I was wondering if there is any way to create a report that will tell me what softwar titles only exist in a certain subnet or location? What I am trying to do is see what unique and specialty software is installed on a group of PCs in one of our remote offices. We are planning their migration to Windows 7 and would like to try and see if we can figure out any special software titles that we need to obtain before we do the machine swaps.

Is this something that can be done via reports? What about the Microsoft Application Compatibility Toolkit?
