Google Chrome custom deployment

I have downloaded the .msi from Google so that I can install this for all users, but can't seem to find out how to customize it except by using the .adm and Group Policy.

The MSI for chrome is nothing but a silent install of .exe file. You can check running of Custom Action which install Chrome from exe silently.
You capture Chrome easily from any packaging tool and then customize it.

you can also use transform file to customize installation: e.g. add a master_preferences file or change the registry keys for the User Data folder or Cache folder etc
