  • I got it to work... sort of. One of the switches pulled the info the other did not. Is it possible that different models/firmware versions will have different OIDs for the serial number? - swj1183 9 years ago

This is a two part answer and may require some additional feedback - so, please do not hesitate to ask for any clarification you need.

Part 1:
The SNMP OID that you will most likely use is:
1.3.6.1.2.1.47.1.1.1.1.11

Look here for other potential OIDs to use: http://www.oidview.com/mibs/0/ENTITY-MIB.html
Part 2:
In your K1000
  1. Go to SNMP Inventory Configuration
  2. Choose Action | New
  3. That brings you to the SNMP Inventory Configuration Detail page
  4. This is where you add the OID (use .1.3.6.1.2.1.47.1.1.1.1.11 )
  5. Add the Category and Property information (where to map the information to appear in the Device Detail)
You have to map to an existing K1000 field.
I hope this helps!
