I don't have any experience with setting up an snmp wit KACE to do inventory. Are there any instructions out there for setting up snmp in KACE?

How can this be done? What are OIDs? How do OIDs work, and what do they have to do with SNMP?
Thanks & Regards,
Josh

Hi Josh,
The best place to start may be this primer on how to find the SNMP OIDs you want. In the primer, there is a link to an external source on more detailed SNMP info, but the primer itself should answer a lot of your questions. In terms of how to configure the OID GETs you want K1000 to extract from the remote devices, the inline help and admin guide are pretty thorough.
In addition to the primer, there are other tools listed on that page ( http://www.itninja.com/tag/snmp-oids ) and the page will be used to build questions and answers to K1000 SNMP related questions.
I hope this helps you get started.
Thanks,
Ken
