Inventory Asset Ship Date
I noticed quite a few of our computers are having 0000-00-00 for their Ship date when looking at the asset information.
Is there any known issues with something like this happening? All of our computers are dell machines and I though this field was normally populated when the agent was installed and synced.

Ever once in a while we have a computer missing a serial number. The systems with all 0 ship dates have their serial numbers showing up.
I am not quite sure how to check if the computer assets are linked with my computer inventory.
In Asset -> Asset Types (Tab)
I see computer with #6000+ computers attached to it. When going into this asset it has Mapped Inventory Field of Bios Serial Number and Matching Asset Field of Serial Number .

Ship dates are not automatically copied from the inventory lookup into asset fields. Ship dates in assets will default to 0000-00-00 (unless you set another default value). We are going through this right now. For Dell systems, we can easily copy the ship date from the inventory query and paste it into the asset detail. We are having to go through multiple sources to get ship dates for our other systems, Lenovo, Apple, Toshiba.
