Is there a reason why a Microsoft Patch is not listed or available in the Kbox?

The one in particular that I need is from Microsoft KB2713128. This patch involves printing from client computers (Windows 7) to domain print servers. http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2713128

This has been made available since 14-May-2012.

Thanks

Chances are it was never requested to be added as it is a hotfix, not a patch.  As nshah said, not all patches are included in the patch feed.

Since it's a hotfix, it's probably either a .exe or a .msu file that you can deploy from the K1000 through a MI/script if you want to. You can deploy .msu files using wusa.exe.

If you aren't in a hurry for it, submit a request to KACE support to have it added.

Here is what KACE pulls down.

You might want to check here and see if the patch also has passed Lumension testing

  • Thanks for the quick reply. I just searched in Lumension and I was unable to find the patch. I tried their search box and put this in (KB2713128) and (2713128), and both results were negative. Doesn't seem like their search is very friendly. I might not be putting the correct info for their search to work. - lwhittaker 12 years ago
  • Since there is not contact with Lumension directly you might want to open a ticket with support indicating you want to see about this patch. - nshah 12 years ago
