Is there any way so that outlook will start indexing the encrypted messages ?

Hello everyone,

As per my knowledge, MS Outlook does not index the Encrypted
emails. Is there any way with which outlook can index these mails too?

I wanted to know because encrypted mails are not available
in Search results of outlook.

Please suggest me any good idea?Thanks in Advance

Jags, as the OP sort of mentioned, that option is for *files* not messages :-)

I have looked at that article see the attached image. They have mentioned that outlook 2010 can index mails with clear-sign encryption What is the meaning of clear-sign encryption ?

It's the opposite of opaque-sign encryption. We have now reached the extent of my knowledge of encryption. Sorry I can't be of more help.

Hi..Thanks for your response.The link is useful if there is problem with normal indexing. My Outlook is indexing normal messages (which are not encrypted) but the problem is that it is not indexing encrypted messagesThanksJoe

I think there is no way to do the same. We have to decrypt the emails and only then outlook will index them. No success after all efforts :(
