K1000 Login Slow version 5.4.76847
I am running K1000 version 5.4.76847 and starting a few weeks ago logging into the appliance has taken longer and longer. I've checked the logs and there doesn't appear to be anything that has changed. I have plenty of disk space (150+GB) and the process monitor shows 41% idle on the dashboard. Once I am logged into the appliance everything works fine. It is just as snappy as ever. Has anyone else had a similar issue?

I would reboot the appliance. Sounds simple, I know.... If that doesn't work then let's look further into it.

Yeah, I've tried "turning it off and on again" but I guess it can't hurt trying one more time. - lan.pham 10 years ago
Do you use LDAP in your environment? If so, check your LDAP configuration to make sure that you have removed the defaults and check the ones that you configured.

I've double checked the LDAP settings they appear to be fine. Our K2000 appliance have the exact same settings and isn't having any problem. - lan.pham 10 years ago
Is this a VM or a Physical Appliance ?
If VM, how many CPU cores it has?
Can you go to K1000 Settings->Support->Troubleshooting Tools , click "Edit Mode" and run the utility "top" and check is some process is using excess CPU like 100%
Also run "database" command from same page and see if some query is running from very long time.

Nothing is out of the ordinary.
I suspect it has to do with LDAP. My configuration hasn't changed, and once I'm logged in the K1000 is super snappy, it's just the login process takes about a full 2 minutes. - lan.pham 10 years ago
